What are your favorite things to do on your day off? I love thrifting on my days off! Especially if I bring my noise-canceling headphones. I could spend hours listening to music and searching for cool, unique pieces and clothes.

What are you most grateful for? I’m most grateful for my amazing friends. I moved to the Triangle area four years ago from Charlotte and have cultivated the most incredible community. I truly feel like I have a village that always has my back, and I have theirs.

What’s one thing that can instantly make your day better? A thoughtful gesture! Whether it’s a sweet treat, sharing new music, or sending me a meme that reminded you of me; those little things always brighten my day.

What do you love most about your profession? What I love most is the personal connection. Being able to build relationships with my clients that go beyond the service itself means everything to me. I’m so honored to be part of their milestones, graduations, birthdays, or even just their self-care routine. It truly warms my heart to be part of those moments.

Why do you work at Poppy Salon? I love working at Poppy Salon because of its inclusivity and strong sense of community. Being able to serve anyone and everyone, regardless of identity, race, or hair texture is something I deeply value. I also appreciate the diversity within our team and the close-knit relationships I have with my coworkers. Sometimes work honestly feels like hanging out with friends.

What inspires you most about the beauty industry? What inspires me most is how much room there is for self-expression. Hair is such a creative outlet, and inspiration can come from anywhere. Recently, I recreated a look inspired by a client’s favorite anime character, and it reminded me how limitless this industry truly is.
